Everyone knows that we should eat lots of fruit and vegetables (5+ portions a day) and to get as wide a variety as possible to help our bodies stay healthy.

But with busy lives and high stress levels it is becoming more and more common for people to turn to convenience food.

Grabbing a gas station sandwich at lunch or ordering take out for dinner and the idea that food is just fuel to keep us going instead of the highly valuable commodity that we can use so our bodies can perform at their peak is lost.

Our bodies are complex living organisms that need a vast and varied amount of vitamins and nutrients to perform well and we need to think abut what we put into our bodies; not what we can get in a quickly as possible but what can we put in to help us perform our best?
